Choose a sensible count
Generate exactly the number of cards you need, plus a few if late arrivals are likely. The tool accepts one to thirty cards and gives each a number for distribution.
For a group larger than thirty, run separate sessions and keep their callers separate. A caller from one set is not a reliable host list for another set.
If players share cards in pairs, count teams rather than people. Write the final count on the host copy before printing so a last-minute reprint uses the same number and optional seed.
Inspect the first page
Use print preview to see whether a complete card fits on a page. Printer margins and browser scaling vary. If text is cut off or too small, adjust paper size or scale before printing the whole batch.
Look at the longest words in the grid. The design uses generic holiday terms, but a narrow printer can still wrap a cell.
Use ordinary materials
Plain paper and a pencil are enough. If you want reusable cards, place printed sheets in sleeves and use dry-erase markers that suit the sleeve material.
For single-use cards, a pen works well. Give each player something to mark with before the first call.
Preserve a matching set
An optional seed lets you recreate the same cards later, but the count and seed must both match. Write those two values on the host copy if reprinting may be necessary.
Print cards and start the caller from the same generated set in the same tab. Regenerating midway changes the host list and can confuse verification.
